Charitable scholarship in the name of the translator-koreanologist, teacher of the Department of Languages and Literatures of the Far East and Southeast Asia of the National Institute of Philology, lieutenant of air reconnaissance of the 95th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade, Knight of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky III degree Denys ANTIPOV, who died heroically on May 11, 2022, protecting the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine (hereinafter - the scholarship) is awarded to students of 1-4 courses (up to 8 people) of the "Bachelor" OS and 1-2 years of study (up to 2 people) of the "Master" OS, specialty 035.066 Philology ( Oriental languages and literatures (including translation)) - the first Korean who have shown success in their studies, take an active part in the public life of the university, show patriotism and readiness to fulfill their civic and constitutional duty to protect the national interests of Ukraine.
Candidates for the scholarship are nominated by the Department of Languages and Literatures of the Far East and Southeast Asia of the National Institute of Philology and agreed with the funders of the Denis Antipov Foundation. The department sends to the Academic Council of the National Institute of Philology a motivated submission regarding the candidates for the appointment of the scholarship, in which it notes their academic success, scientific or creative work and participation in the public life of the university, as well as an extract from the minutes of the meeting of the department on the nomination of candidates for the appointment of the scholarship.
The selected candidacies for the appointment of the Denys ANTIPOV scholarship are approved by the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology and submitted to the Scholarship Commission of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University for decision. The list of students, approved by the decision of the Scholarship Commission of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University, is sent to the "Denys Antipov Foundation" Charitable Organization for the payment of the Scholarship.
A nominal scholarship is awarded to students twice a year based on the results of the summer and winter examination sessions from the first day of the month following the end of the semester control according to the curriculum, for the period until the results of the next semester control are determined.
Scholarships are paid once a month.
Scholarships are paid to students directly by the "Denys Antipov Foundation" Charitable Organization, in accordance with the procedure for awarding and paying scholarships, approved by Resolution No. 882 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 12.07.2004 (as amended by Resolution No. 1050 of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated 28.12.2016)
The size of the scholarship is 2,500 hryvnias.
The payment of taxes and fees in accordance with the current legislation of Ukraine for charitable payments is entrusted to the "Denys Antipov Foundation".
Students may be deprived of a named scholarship by a decision of the Academic Council of the Educational and Scientific Institute of Philology and by order of the Rector of Taras Shevchenko Kyiv National University.
